Walkers
Children in this age group tend to have a lot of
curiosity and energy. They are very active and are starting to become more
interested in objects and people. At Small Miracle we will be here to provide
the structure and guidance your child needs as they learn to share and get
along with others. Our program will draw attention to language development
skills, which will help your child turn their ideas into words. Activities that
will focus on language development include, singing songs, playing games, story
telling and participating in art projects. These activities will also help your
child learn to make their own choices and become more independent. The more
comfortable your child can be with these skills, the more likely that your
child will become successful as they grow into their everyday lives.
We will use an electronic daily sheet program called
Tadpoles to keep track of your child's day; eating, diapering, sleeping,
activities, reminders and special notes. At the end of each day your child's
daily sheet will be emailed to you. We also use this program to take pictures
throughout the day and they will also be emailed to you. This program helps to
keep open communication with families and allows a way for you to have a window
into your child's day!
